Sara Fontes |
Sara Fontes is a fourth year Biochemistry and Molecular Biology student
at UNBC. She came from the small town of Kitimat, BC to pursue a
science degree and later apply to medical school. Some of her hobbies
include: dancing, acting, playing tennis, and reading. When she started
her degree, she was a health science student and had no interest in
biochemistry; however, she was exposed to biochemistry in several of
the classes and became so interested in the subject that she decided to
pursue it as her major. She volunteered with Geneskool North because
she has developed an appreciation of the study of genomics and would
like to share that appreciation with others in a fun, hands-on way.
