Amy studies the genetics of mountain pine beetle cold tolerance and
host-tree colonization at UNBC. During her spare time, she snowboards,
bakes bread, and runs with her beagle. She got involved in Northern
Geneskool to help high school students understand what genetics is all
about and how they can pursue a career in this expanding field.
