Is it possible for me to get stronger by mixing some animal’s DNA in with my own?

Sad to say: if you want to get stronger, you just have to work out like everyone else. There’s no magic pill that can make you any better of an athlete – and certainly not through mixing animal genes with your own! Although, there’s many an athlete who still tries to cheat the system. Athletes have often pushed the limits of biology to help them gain strength and endurance – often by taking pills or injections. Now some are predicting that athletes will take the extra step and try to add the “enhancement protein” gene into their supplements. In fact, some have even predicted that the 2010 Olympics will be the “genetic Olympics”. Some of these “enhancing genes” could increase number of red blood cells - giving more endurance - and others could increase muscle strength and bulk. In theory, that would give genetically enhanced athletes a new advantage – but it still sounds like good old fashioned cheating to me!
